Harrison Barnes runs counter to the new generation of the NBA in that he embraces a 15-foot jump shot that he can make in his sleep.
Not that he can't make the 3-pointers that everybody is in love with. He made 5-of-8 of them Wednesday against Brooklyn.
And he can still get to the rim when the opportunity arises in this era of 3-pointers and layups.
But just because that's the way things are these days doesn't mean Barnes has to accept it.
"I got to keep the midrange game alive," he said with a grin.
