BROOKLYN – Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks got the last laugh.
With a smattering of boos cascading inside the Barclays Center every time he touched the ball, Irving silenced the crowd as his dead-eye shooting – combined with a spectacular performance from Luka Doncic — propelled the Mavs past the Brooklyn Nets, 119-107, on Tuesday night.
The win padded the Mavs’ record to 28-23, including 2-0 on this three-game road trip which concludes with Thursday’s game at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks.
Irving poured in a game-high 36 points on 15-of-24 shots – he also was 6-of-10 from three-point land – and added five assists in 40 minutes.
