Sefko: Saying goodbye to Kobe Bryant, and all the times he terrorized the Mavericks

LOS ANGELES -- Nobody in the Mavericks' organization will forget Dec. 20, 2005.

On that day, Kobe Bryant treated them like pigeons treat a statue, leaving his mark all over them with 62 points in three quarters. The Mavericks had 61 points in three quarters.

It was, at the time, Bryant's highest-scoring game, and if the Mavericks had actually kept it a game to that point, he probably would have gone on to 70 or perhaps even 80 points.

The Mavericks could not stop him until he sat the entire fourth quarter of the 112-90 blowout.
