Samuel Dalembert's second stint with the Dallas Mavericks has ended right before the 2015-16 regular season begins.
According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, the Mavericks will release Dalembert. ESPN's Tim MacMahon added that Salah Mejri won a roster spot ahead of the 34-year-old, making him expendable despite having a guaranteed salary.
According to RealGM.com, the veteran minimum for a player with at least 10 years of NBA service is just under $1.5 million.
After being left at the altar by DeAndre Jordan over the summer, the Mavericks have been trying to secure an athletic big man.
