Rockets blocked 19 shots en route to claiming 101-92 win over Mavs

The Houston Rockets had seven players score 10 or more points and used that balanced attack and a record 19 blocked shots to eke out a surprising 101-92 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night at American Airlines Center.

The loss dropped the Mavs to 8-6 on the season and 2-1 on this five-game homestand which resumes with a Friday night game against the Denver Nuggets. In the meantime, the Rockets won for just the third time this season, improved to 3-12 and recorded the most blocks ever by a Mavs opponent.

The Mavs played without three-time All-Star point guard Luka Doncic, who sat out the game so he could get some much-needed rest.
