DALLAS — Despite leading the Dallas Mavericks to their 14th postseason appearance in the last 15 seasons, coach Rick Carlisle heads into the summer unsatisfied after seeing his team fall in the first round of the playoffs.
Engineering the Mavericks to their 14th 50-win season in franchise history, Carlisle dealt with plenty of player movement for the fourth straight year and faced several roadblocks during the 2014-15 campaign while trying to get the team back to playing at an elite level. Still, while currently sitting just two victories away from passing Don Nelson (339) for the most wins by a head coach in franchise history, Carlisle figures to cement his place in Mavericks lore early next season.
