Dennis Smith Jr. has apparently had a change of heart.
... about competing in this year's NBA All-Star dunk contest.
The second-year Mavericks point guard has reportedly agreed to participate in the dunk contest at All-Star weekend in Charlotte, N.C., which of course marks a homecoming of sorts for the Fayetteville native. Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania first reported the news:
Sources @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium: Dallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. has committed to the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest in Charlotte.

This differs from the stance Smith previously held about returning to the dunk contest, when he said he had no desire to compete in the event this time around.
