DENVER – The Dallas Mavericks had a serious manpower shortage during Wednesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets, and it clearly showed.
Guards Kyrie Irving (lower back stiffness) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (right hamstring tightness), center Maxi Kleber (right hamstring tear) and forward Davis Bertans (left calf strain) all missed the game. That lack of firepower was pivotal in the Nuggets’ 118-109 victory over the Mavs at Ball Arena.
The Mavs will now enter the All-Star break with a 31-29 record, while the Western Conference-leading Nuggets are 41-18. The Mavs’ next game is Feb. 23 at home against the San Antonio Spurs.
