DENVER -- Dennis Smith Jr. is growing tired of aggravating his sprained right wrist -- to the point that he's accepting the fact that he needs to sit out to let the injury fully heal.
Smith is a competitive player who never wants to be sidelined. But he knows after missing five of the last six games that there is no other option. In the game he played, he fell on the wrist for the third time since the original injury and that's hindering the healing process.
He will not play against Denver tonight.
Asked if he needed to shut down for a few more games, Smith said that's "what we're doing now.
