CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Next week, Wednesday to be exact, is the one-year anniversary of a dark day in Mavericks history, when a Sports Illustrated report detailed allegations of sexual harassment and improper behavior on the business side of the organization.
A subsequent seven-month investigation that was released last September confirmed the veracity of those allegations and resulted in owner Mark Cuban pledging to donate $10 million to women's organizations that combat domestic violence and support the leadership and development of women.
On Feb. 6 of this year, NBA commissioner Adam Silver visited the Mavericks' offices.
