DALLAS — Although he only played in one of the four Southwest Division matchups and just 41 games for the season, the Dallas Mavericks say perennial All-Star center Dwight Howard will have their full attention when their first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets begins Saturday.
Dealing with a nagging knee injury that required mid-season surgery, Howard finished the 2014-15 campaign averaging a double-double with 15.8 points and 10.5 rebounds an outing. He also swatted a career-low 1.3 blocks a game, but proved that he’s still a more than adequate rim protector on the defensive end of the floor.
