SACRAMENTO – It’ll be next season at the earliest before the Sacramento Kings will get a chance to light the beam again. That’s because the Dallas Mavericks came to Golden 1 Center and dominated the Kings in a Western Conference play-in tournament game, 120-106, on Wednesday night.
The win enabled the Mavs to advance to play on the road at the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday at 8:30 p.m. in a play-in game to determine which team will secure the conference’s No. 8 seed. The Mavs-Grizzlies winner will start a best-of-seven series at the No. 1-seed Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday at noon.
