The Dallas Mavericks wasted no time letting everyone know they weren’t going to have a hangover following Wednesday’s surprising 17-point victory over the highly-regarded Golden State Warriors.
Even with head coach Jason Kidd sitting out Friday’s game against Houston after testing positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, the Mavs busted out to a 20-point lead after the first quarter and went on to coast to an easy 130-106 triumph over the Rockets.
In winning for a season-high fifth consecutive time, the Mavs improved to 21-18 overall and 11-10 on the road headed into Sunday night’s home game against the Chicago Bulls.
