BOSTON – At the end of a week-long, four-game road trip, the Dallas Mavericks hung with the Boston Celtics for over three quarters. But in the end, the Mavs simply ran out of gas and wound up on the short end of a 138-110 score on Friday night at TD Garden.
The lost left the Mavs 1-3 on this road and 34-26 overall entering Sunday’s home game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Meanwhile, the Celtics showed why they are the best team in the NBA as they won for the 10th straight time and padded their record to 47-12 while increasing their home worksheet to a gaudy 28-3.
