DALLAS — Although he made his Dallas Maverick debut during a lopsided 123-107 loss Tuesday night against Houston, undersized guard Pierre Jackson’s play quickly impressed coach Rick Carlisle in his first game action with the team.
Officially signing with the Mavericks (9-23) earlier in the day after the front office waived former guard Jonathan Gibson, Jackson stepped in and contributed late in Tuesday’s contest with seven points on 2-of-5 shooting and two assists in 10 minutes of work. The former Baylor standout also showed that he is capable of playing the point at the next level after averaging 29.
