DALLAS — After seeing Dirk Nowitzki once again compete at an elite level during the 2014-15 campaign, the Dallas Mavericks will look to preserve their franchise player throughout the upcoming season.
Making his 13th All-Star appearance while filling in for an injured Anthony Davis, Nowitzki played in 77 games during the ’14-15 season and finished second on the team in scoring with an average of 17.3 points to go along with 5.9 rebounds in 29.6 minutes per outing. He increased his production as the Mavericks fell in five games to the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs, averaging a double-double in the series while scoring 21.
