In wrapping a nice little bow around the 2023-24 season, Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving is convinced that what transpired over the past year is only the beginning of something
beautiful for a Mavs team that defied the odds and advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time in 13 years.
The Mavs lost to the Boston Celtics in five games in this year’s NBA Finals. But Irving said what they didn’t lose is their commitment to excellence and the will to get back to the Finals and complete the mission.
“That’s a positive note that we can take from this series, just how far we made it and how proud I am of the guys,” Irving said.
