Luka Doncic collected 35 points, nine rebounds and 13 assists, and Dorian Finney-Smith added a career-high 28 points as the Dallas Mavericks clinched a playoff berth Wednesday night with a 120-112 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
It was the 32th win in their last 43 games since Dec. 31 for the Mavs and increased their overall record to 48-29 going into Friday’s game at the Washington Wizards. The Cavs, meanwhile, dropped to 42-34.
The Mavs’ third straight appearance in the postseason came when the Toronto Raptors defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 125-102, shortly after the Mavs upended the Cavs.
