DALLAS — After getting off to a slow start to both the first and third quarters Saturday night during their 118-108 Game 1 loss in Houston, the Dallas Mavericks will look to regroup in time for Tuesday’s second showdown in the first-round series.
Falling behind by as many as 15 in the opening quarter, the seventh-seeded Mavericks (0-1) admittedly came out of the gates sluggishly while trailing 32-19 to the Southwest Division champion Rockets (1-0) after 12 minutes of play. And although they would battle all the way back to take a slight advantage, the Mavs eventually ran out of gas after exerting plenty of energy during their comeback attempt.
