Mavericks will look to adjust 'on the fly' as they welcome J.J. Barea back to the lineup soon

Mavericks management is facing hard questions in the coming month.

So is coach Rick Carlisle, but not when it comes to having too much manpower with the pending return of guard J.J. Barea.

When you're 11-25 and last in the Western Conference, you don't have too much manpower.

All you have is men. And problem-solving opportunities.

Barea could return Saturday against Atlanta after missing 24 of the last 26 games with lower left leg problems. If not against the Hawks, then it's a safe bet he will be back before Thursday's game against Phoenix in Mexico City, if for no other reason than he's a great ambassador for the league when it comes to Spanish-speaking fans.
