All is quiet on the Nerlens Noel front, but the Dallas Mavericks are still making personnel moves.
The Mavericks signed free agent forward Brandon Ashley. They also recently signed former Colorado State guard Gian Clavell, who they found while he was playing with Miami during the summer league tournaments.
Ashley (6-9, 230) played on both of the Mavericks’ summer league teams this past July. In two games in Orlando, he averaged 8.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. In six games (all starts) in Las Vegas, he averaged 11.5 points and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 47.4 percent from the field.
