After 10 days living out of a suitcase, the Mavericks returned home to the cozy confines of American Airlines Center on Thursday.
So how did they treat the occasion?
“We’re just still on the road,” coach Jason Kidd said. “That’s how we’re going to act. We got to play basketball like we did on the road.”
That psychological game plan worked just fine for the Mavericks as they shook off any lingering jet lag after a lukewarm first half, then mashed on the accelerator to scoot away to a 109-95 victory over the Atlanta Hawks in the first of three consecutive home games.
