The Dallas Mavericks officially added a high-flying piece to their roster.
The team announced Friday it signed free agent forward Jeremy Evans, who won the NBA’s slam dunk contest in 2012. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though reports indicated earlier this month Evans and the Mavericks agreed to a two-year deal worth the league minimum.
Evans, 27, was drafted in 2010 for the Utah Jazz, with whom he spent his first five seasons in the NBA. After averaging a career-best 6.1 points per game in 66 appearance in 2013-14, the former Western Kentucky standout played in just 38 games last season, averaging 2.
