The Mavericks moved a step closer to finalizing their roster for 2022-23 by signing Tyler Dorsey to a two-way contract.
Speculation that the Mavericks would sign the former Oregon standout had swirled for months. He played last season with Olympiacos in the Greek League.
The 6-5 shooting guard was drafted in 2017 by Atlanta in the second round (41st overall). He has played 104 NBA games for the Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies, averaging 6.7 points and shooting 35 percent from 3-point range.
The Mavericks now have 14 guaranteed contracts on the roster, plus Dorsey’s deal which brings the total to 15.
