The new kids on the block had their fingerprints all over the Mavericks’ 107-99 victory over the Miami Heat Tuesday night.
But so did a couple old-time Mavericks: Maxi Kleber and Jalen Brunson.
Kleber played some of the sharpest defense of the season and had one of the best overall games of his career. Best of all, his 3-pointer with 37.3 seconds left put the Mavericks up 107-99, essentially icing the victory.
This came a possession after Brunson knocked in a corner 3-pointer to put the Mavericks up 104-95.
Kleber’s night was massive.
