Give draft prospect Michael Porter Jr. and his agent, Mark Bartelstein, a lot of credit.
They are doing everything they can to try to ensure NBA teams in the lottery that Porter is physically fit and deserving of a high draft pick on Thursday.
The Mavericks, like most of the other lottery teams, have a small army that includes medical staff and Michael Finley going to the Chicago workout Friday afternoon that Bartelstein has set up for teams to get a close-up look at Porter and, ostensibly, to relieve any fears of back problems that could linger from his surgery last year.
