The Dallas Mavericks announced Friday afternoon that they re-signed center Salah Mejri. Earlier this summer, the two sides agreed to reunite with a one-year, $1.6 million contract.
Last season, Mejri appeared in 61 games for the Mavs. He averaged 3.5 points, four rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game in 12 minutes. Mejri even notched one start early in the season.
A loquacious player, Mejri has played his entire, albeit short, NBA career with Dallas. The Mavericks signed the 7-foot-2 Tunisian center as a free agent on July 30, 2015. Since that time, he’s made a name for him self on the floor for his lack of fear and desire to block the shots of superstar players.
