The Mavericks on Tuesday became the 21st NBA team to announce a sponsorship agreement that includes the addition of a logo patch to the team's uniform.
The orange logo of Dallas-based online and app marketplace company 5miles will adorn the Mavericks' uniforms for the rest of the 2018-19 seasons and for at least two seasons thereafter.
Per NBA regulations, the maximum contract length per patch-sponsor agreement is three seasons, although the Mavericks-5miles agreement, like others around the league, includes clauses that could lead to a contract extension if the league approves.
Terms of the Mavericks-5miles agreement were not announced, but earlier Tuesday the Los Angeles Clippers and Austin-based dating app Bumble announced a deal reportedly worth $20 million for three years, or roughly the same parameters of several other agreements around the NBA.
