Michael Finley, former Dallas Mavericks All-Star, has agreed with the Mavericks for a new role and title within the Dallas front office, NBA insider Marc Stein reported Thursday. Finley, who worked next to former general manager Donnie Nelson, is now assistant general manager and vice president of basketball operations.
Stein calls it an “expanded role” next to Mavericks general manager and head of basketball operations Nico Harrison. Harrison was hired in July after owner Mark Cuban fired Nelson, part of a leadership shake up in the Mavericks front office after multiple reports of inner turmoil within the Mavericks front office.
