The Mavericks started 2023 kind of like everybody else.

But once they cleared out the cobwebs, they kept the good times from the end of 2022 rolling on Monday.
They overcame an 18-point third-quarter deficit and ran down the Houston Rockets 111-106 at Toyota Center for their seventh consecutive victory.
Spencer Dinwiddie canned a midrange jumper with 10.5 seconds to go to put the Mavericks up 109-106 in a game that was never fully in the Mavericks’ control.
