Mavericks Come to Terms With Former Dunk Champ Jeremy Evans

The Dallas Mavericks have come to terms with forward Jeremy Evans, the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk champion, on a two-year deal at the league minimum. ESPN’s Marc Stein broke the news Sunday:

Evans has spent each of his five professional seasons with the Utah Jazz, averaging 3.7 points and 2.7 rebounds while playing behind some talented big men. Evans may get more of an opportunity in Dallas, where he’ll try to fill a Brandan Wright-like role as a finisher above the rim in the pick-and-roll and shot blocking threat.
