Mavericks acquire center Chinanu Onuaku from Rockets

The Dallas Mavericks have traded to acquire Chinanu Onuaku from the Houston Rockets. In exchange, the Rockets are receiving cash, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Onuaku appeared in just one game for Houston last season.

In his two seasons in the NBA, the 6-foot-10 Onuaku has appeared in just six games, spending the majority of his time with Houston’s G League affiliate the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. There, he’s played a total of 83 games, averaging 12.3 points, 10 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.4 blocks. He connected on 61.6 percent of his shots with the Vipers.
