Mavericks' owner Mark Cuban is a big fan of the way Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones is battling the NFL.
With an asterisk.
Having been in his share of knock-down drag-outs with the NBA, Cuban can appreciate what Jones is going through as he has fought to keep running back Ezekiel Elliott on the field.
It's a fight that Jones - at the moment - has lost, with Elliott on suspension for five more games, pending the outcome of any more appeals.
But with threats of suing the league and commissioner Roger Goodell - something Cuban also contemplated more than once earlier in his ownership tenure - Jones has earned another level of admiration from Cuban.
