Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is helping one of his former players get off the street and get some help. He recently picked up former Mavericks guard Delonte West after a photo of West panhandling in Dallas went viral recently.
West, who has discussed his fight with bipolar disorder in the past, has struggled since his last season in the NBA back in 2012. He’s been photographed on the streets, appearing homeless various times over the last handful of years. Every time a photo of West goes viral, his friends, teammates and family, including Doc Rivers and Jameer Nelson, have talked about trying to get West into rehab and get his life back on track.
