Mark Cuban and Harrison Barnes discuss owner's recent comments on youth basketball culture before Mavericks vs. Warriors

OAKLAND, Calif. -- The first thing Mark Cuban did when he arrived at Oracle Arena Saturday night was seek out Harrison Barnes.

The Mavericks' forward had issued a statement about controversial comments made by owner Mark Cuban before Thursday's game against the Clippers.

Cuban was having a conversation with reporters who were asking about the veteran mentality with which rookie Luka Doncic plays the game, Cuban said that basketball in Slovenia is taught from the beginning stressing the fundamentals.

"When you're gifted like he is and you actually learn the game -- if you look at the basketball education of kids starting at 11 years old in Europe, particularly Slovenia which is basketball-ridiculous versus the United States - if we took our best kids and seven years before they're McDonald's All-Americans sent them over to Slovenia to get an education, the league would be a thousand times better.
