Luka Doncic expected to sign $200 million contract extension

The playoffs may be over for Luka Doncic, but his career in Dallas is just getting started. As he spoke with the media Monday afternoon during exit interviews, Doncic indicated that he will sign a five-year contract extension in the range of $200 million when the Dallas Mavericks make the offer later this summer.

“I think you know the answer,” Doncic said when asked about whether he would sign the offer or not.

He is eligible to sign a rookie scale max contract extension at 30 percent of the cap. According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, Doncic is in for a significant pay increase from the $10.
