The Dallas Mavericks were supposed to wrap up their regular season at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 15. In a normal year, they would be turning the page to the playoffs. Who knows how those final 15 regular season games would have played out, but postseason basketball would be back in Dallas after a three-year drought.
This season was anything, but normal. The novel coronavirus suspended play on March 12. The final month of the regular season and the playoffs remain in limbo. The NBA is buying time and hoping they can crown a champion in 2020.
