LOS ANGELES — Paul George scored 29 points and a huge play late in the game went against the Dallas Mavericks during their 97-91 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday afternoon at STAPLES Center.
These same two teams will meet each other on this same court back here on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. CT before the Mavs (9-7) fly home to celebrate Thanksgiving.
A potential three-point play by Mavs guard Jalen Brunson would have gotten the Mavs within 94-92 of the Clippers with 52.2 seconds remaining. However, although a foul was called on Terance Mann on the play, Clippers coach Tyronn Lue challenged the play, and after the officials reviewed it, they over-turned it and whistled Brunson for an offensive foul.
