PHILADELPHIA – The Dallas Mavericks are set to receive a huge boost as Kyrie Irving will be back to play in Monday’s 6 p.m. game against the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center.
And if Irving has his way, he said he won’t be on a minute’s restriction.
Irving has missed the past six games after he sprained his right thumb on Jan. 22 when Boston forward Jayson Taum swiped down and tagged the Mavs’ guard in a move that caused the unfortunate injury.
“It’s been frustrating, but I’m doing my best to get through it,” Irving said following Monday morning’s shootaround.
