Justin Anderson puts up 34 in quick assignment to Texas Legends

Justin Anderson scored a team-high 34 points and Jeremy Evans scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a quick, one-game assignment to the Texas Legends, the Mavs’ D-League affiliate. Salah Mejri added 2 points and 4 rebounds in 16 minutes.

Anderson was 13 of 24 from the field including 2 of 7 from deep. In his first appearance with the club in late November, the rookie scored 27 points. It’s quite evident even when he’s on the floor against NBA players, but Anderson is an unbelievable athlete and that was clear last night in Frisco. He’s big and strong for his position, and he has the speed and leaping ability to be a terror in the open floor both on offense and defense.
