PHILADELPHIA — This is what the Dallas Mavericks missed when Kyrie Irving missed the previous six games with a sprained left thumb.
Irving scored a game-high 23 points and added five rebounds and eight assists in 35 minutes as the Mavs used a surge in the second half en route to rallying for a hard-fought 118-102 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night at Wells Fargo Center. In reaching the 50-game mark of the season, the Mavs will carry a 27-23 record into Tuesday night’s game in Brooklyn.
Besides Irving, the Mavs got 20 points, six rebounds and two steals from Josh Green, 19 points and eight rebounds from Luka Doncic, 17 points from Jaden Hardy, and 14 points apiece from Maxi Kleber and Grant Williams.
