Huge comeback pushes Mavericks past Jazz, closer to No. 6 seed

Sometimes, you don’t need the workhorses to get the heavy lifting done.

With Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and Dorian Finney-Smith getting a day of rest after three of the Mavericks’ first five games in the NBA bubble went to overtime, they leaned on Tim Hardaway Jr., Seth Curry and their depth to pull out a 122-114 victory over the Utah Jazz on Monday at Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The win pushed the Mavericks to 43-30 (and 3-3 in the bubble). A loss would have locked the Mavericks into the No. 7 seed. But now, they are only a game behind the 43-28 Jazz.
