Few players in the NBA personify the term "3 and D" more than Wesley Matthews.
He defends the best player on the opposing team just about every game. And he makes 3-pointers at a rate well above the league average.
This year, things are a little different, however.
Matthews has made 161 field goals, and 85 of them have been from beyond the 3-point arc. That leaves 76 from inside the arc.
In his first season with the Mavericks, 57 percent of his baskets were 3-pointers. It dropped last season, and this year it's down to 52 percent of his buckets coming from 3-point range.
