How DeAndre Jordan's preseason debut showed Mavs he may be the answer to their rebounding woes

With so much attention rightfully on Luka Doncic's first game as a Maverick, DeAndre Jordan got a little lost in the shuffle.

That doesn't mean the preseason opener on Saturday wasn't big for him.

"It was cool," he said. "The last time I was here, they booed me."

There was no hint of ill will toward the big center who showed quickly why he should make the Mavericks a different kind of team. Three summers back, he committed to the Mavericks in free agency. Then he reversed field and went back to the Los Angeles Clippers.
