The Mavericks reportedly had a deal in the works with Brooklyn's Thaddeus Young at last year's deadline, so it makes sense that they have apparently called the Nets again to inquire about the forward, per SI's Jake Fischer.
I've heard the Mavericks and Raptors have inquired about Thaddeus Young's availability. Young is interested in joining a playoff team.

Young would give the Mavericks the jolt they need coming off the bench and is a versatile front court player, so he makes sense playing the role Charlie Villanueva and Dwight Powell have filled this year as a backup power forward, maybe sometimes even center.
