Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki has been sidelined by illness and an Achilles injury so far this season, and was last seen against the Portland Trail Blazers on November 4.
On his way to a return, Nowitzki told ESPN.com that he has resumed on-court workouts, but said he hopes to be able to get through a full-speed practice or two before returning to the lineup.
"We don't want to rush anything and go back to where we were last week. So if I feel anything this weekend, they're going to ease off again," Nowitzki said.
