Harrison Barnes' imprint on the Mavericks has grown exponentially since he arrived in the summer of 2016 and so, too, has his positive impact on the Dallas community.
Saturday was the latest example. For the second straight summer, Barnes teamed with retired Dallas Police Chief David Brown to host a free basketball camp, life skills discussion and lunch at Exline Recreation Center in southeast Dallas.
Attending the event were 80 smiling boys and girls, ages 8-to-18, half each from the Dallas Police Athletic League and and Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas. Dallas PAL officers helped organize and oversee the activities.
