News out of Friday’s Dallas Mavericks practice is mixed. The good news is that Harrison Barnes practiced with the team, The Athletic’s Tim Cato reports. Unfortunately, it’s “unlikely” that he will be good to go for Saturday’s home opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Head coach Rick Carlisle has said that he wants to get Barnes a couple of days of practice in before he returns to game action. Barnes sustained a hamstring injury during practice in late September that sidelined him for the remainder of training camp. He missed all four preseason games and the regular season opener against the Phoenix Suns.
