THE STORY: The new guys aren’t expected to join the team until Monday, so once again the Mavericks will be short-handed as they take on the Cavaliers. The Cavs are 14th in the East, certainly nothing to write home about this year, so perhaps Dallas can leverage that trade energy to get the W they couldn’t quite get the other night. Luka is, I believe expected to play tonight after resting an injury against the Pistons, so the Mavs will at least have their best player to help in that effort.
