SAN ANTONIO – Six games into the regular season and DeAndre Jordan has manufactured a double-double in all six games.
Before this season, no other member of the Dallas Mavericks had performed that extraordinary feat for more than four games. But Jordan now has the franchise record, and he’s certainly humble about it.
“I’m just trying to do my job,” Jordan said. “The rebounding thing just gives us extra possessions on offense, and defensively I’m just limiting those guys to one shot.
“I’ve got a lot of great guards on this team who put me in position to make easy baskets, and whenever we’re out running in transition they put me in great position to score the basketball.
